Why buy factory finished or prestained cedar?
You get better results, and it saves you money. Factory finishing coats all sides, edges and cut ends of every board, which is impossible to do in the field. Using a machine to apply the finish also works it into the surface, under controlled conditions to assure optimum spread rate and uniformity. And, the cost of prestained cedar boards and trim, cedar shingle siding and cedar shingle panels - as well as other exterior siding - is about half the cost of staining or painting them in the field.
 Factory finishing cedar siding also eliminates the problems of shrink lines, lap marks, streaking and overspray. There are no weather delays, no waiting for painters to show up, no lost production time. Every piece of wood is dried, precision milled and stained to provide long lasting beauty. Coating adhesion is improved, compared to wood that is allowed to weather while waiting to be coated.

Other cedar suppliers may just send you what they have. We will send you what you want, including a sample to show how the color you have chosen will look when it's finished. And, we give each cedar board the coating it needs to prevent problems in the field, unless only a primer coat is requested.
